Hello Southeast Asia!

In July, our friends at the Southeast Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence invited Pippa Drakeford, Engagement & Facilities Manager at Lane Street Studios and two alumni of the Creative Business Programme, Lianna Shaw and Quinn Dacre to be a part of their Tertiary Market Immersion Programme.

The Creative Business Programme has been a partnership programme between SEACAPE and Lane Street Studios to equip emerging film and TV talent with business skills. Throughout the programme, we have explored the substantial business collaboration capacity that exists between NZ and Southeast Asia.

Pippa, Quinn and Lianna spent time Malaysia where they met with the Malaysia Investment Development Authority (MIDA), they also met with the amazing team at Two AM Music Global, where they were treated to a tour of Two AM's facilities and a look into their work.

CEO, Kristy Grant joined Pippa for the second leg of the trip, where they visited Thailand and Singapore. While in Singapore they caught up with Yeonu & Micah from Amazon Studios. It was a great experience for the team, and they enjoyed exploring the production possibilities that exist between New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
